THANKSGIVING & CHRISTMAS

TURKEY BASKET DISTRIBUTIONS 2010

For the past 25 years, through a partnership between the Berkeley Police Department and the Berkeley Boosters PAL, 500 food baskets with fresh produce, a turkey, and all the fixin's for a holiday meal have been delivered to families in need during the holiday season. This great event would not be possible without the sponsorship of a number of local businesses who have donated food and the many volunteers that donated time.

Your contributions to our fundraiser help to provide "turkey baskets" given to families in need for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Provisions of the turkey baskets is organized by the Berkeley Boosters and delivered by Berkeley Police Officers. Berkeley Police Officers and U.C.P.D. Officers have selected names of recipients based on their personal knowledge of families on their 'beats'. Berkeley Boosters also partners with the Berkeley Unified School District and other community based organizations to nominate families in need.
